US law firm Akerman has appointed Jane McCahill as a partner in its healthcare practice group in Chicago.
McCahill brings more than 30 years of experience representing healthcare providers on a broad range of corporate and compliance matters.
She is the second healthcare partner to join the Chicago team in the last six months, following Carolyn Metnick. Their practices also intersect with Paul Lillios in Chicago who represents companies in connection with healthcare fraud and abuse, business disputes and in white collar defense.
"Akerman clients seek the counsel of our national healthcare practice across a range of complex areas as they experience the increasing presence of government in the healthcare industry," said Kirk Davis, chair of Akerman's healthcare practice group. "Jane is skilled at structuring deals in today's heightened regulatory environment. Her knowledge and experience in healthcare compliance and transactional matters adds important depth to Akerman's growing healthcare team."
