AMC Health, a provider of real-time patient management solutions, has appointed Jonathan Leviss as senior vice president, medical director.

Leviss brings over 15 years of experience leveraging technology and informatics to transform healthcare by improving patient and provider experiences, advancing population health and reducing the cost of care.

Prior to joining AMC Health,  Leviss was chief medical officer at the Rhode Island Quality Institute, overseeing development of CurrentCare (Rhode Island's Health Information Exchange) and the RI Regional Extension Center, and leading technology adoption for the RI Beacon Community.

Nesim Bildirici, AMC Health president and chief executive officer, said: "Dr Leviss is a valuable addition to our executive team and will help us build on the significant progress we've made toward advancing monitored care over the last 12 years.

“This is evidenced by numerous published and customer-reported clinical studies that document improvements in the health of patients with chronic illness, increased care management efficiency, and reduced costs of care. Dr Leviss' unique blend of clinical, technology and healthcare informatics expertise will help accelerate the pace of innovation at AMC Health, and expand our partnerships with progressive healthcare organizations."

Leviss added: "I am excited to join AMC Health. The company's 'continuous patient knowledge' model is improving the health of the chronically ill and patients transitioning from hospital to home, all while reducing unnecessary spending. I believe this is only the beginning. I look forward to working collaboratively with our partners and clients to transform healthcare delivery and bring more effective, more efficient healthcare to millions of patients."
