Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, an accounting and advisory firm, has appointed Janice Ahlstrom as director of its healthcare and governance, risk and compliance practices.
In her new role, Ahlstrom will work closely with healthcare organizations to define healthcare technology strategy, improve operational performance, minimize risk and enhance internal controls environments.

Prior to this she served as partner for healthcare technology and consulting at Wipfli.
She is a registered nurse and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS). Ahlstrom is also a HIMSS Fellow and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS).
“We are very excited about the capabilities Janice brings to our healthcare clients,” said Chris Jeffrey, partner and leader of Baker Tilly’s Midwest governance, risk and compliance practice.
“Managing risk is a business imperative in the healthcare industry and Janice’s background and experience will further enhance the firm’s abilities to serve our clients.”
