BETA Healthcare Group (BETA) has named Dave McGhee as vice president of Workers’ Compensation. McGhee was previously the chief executive officer of the ALPHA Fund, a California joint powers authority that merged with BETA Risk Management Authority on January 3, 2017.

In his new role with BETA, McGhee will oversee all aspects of the Workers’ Compensation program of BETA.

“Dave McGhee was intricately involved in the success of the ALPHA Fund and we are pleased that he has joined our team,” said Tom Wander, CEO of BETA. “We anticipate that, under Dave’s guidance, the workers’ compensation program, now one of the many coverages offered by BETA, will continue its level of excellent customer service and profitability it has experienced in recent years and will add to BETA’s already strong market position in California,” he added.

Prior to joining BETA, Mr. McGhee was the CEO of ALPHA Fund for more than 14 years and the CEO of the Association of California Healthcare Districts for more than 5 years. His prior work history includes significant experience as a controller and treasurer. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Colorado State University.
