Individual health plans provider Bright Health has announced its plan to broaden its insurance coverage in the Colorado market in 2018.
The company has collaborated with existing care partner Centura Health, and filed with the federal government to begin offering consumers Medicare Advantage plans in Colorado during fall 2017 enrollment for the 2018 plan year.
Bright Health's members will have access to more than 6,000 network providers across 600 clinics, 15 Centura Health hospitals in Colorado and 1,300 Centura Health affiliated primary care providers.
"Bright Health and Centura Health are dedicated to offering affordable and higher quality healthcare to individuals and their families," said Bob Sheehy, Bright Health’s co-founder and chief executive officer.
"With Centura’s extensive provider base in its Colorado Health Neighborhoods network, along with its hospitals, Neighborhood Health Centers and new non-traditional care options, Bright Health members will experience the benefits of an integrated, personalized approach to healthcare delivery focused on health and wellness. Our way of doing business is designed to drive down healthcare costs, improve clinical outcomes, and enhance consumer and provider satisfaction—the result of which is a reimagined healthcare experience.”
Gary Campbell, CEO of Centura Health, commented: "We are a committed leader in the transformation of healthcare delivery to meet the needs of consumers. Offering Medicare Advantage plans with Bright Health aligns with our goal to increase consumers’ access to convenient, high-quality, affordable care and deliver optimum health value."
Bright Health first entered the Colorado market with individual plans for 2017. It has recently announced it plan to enter the Arizona and Alabama markets for the 2018 plan year. The company's health insurance plans are offered directly to consumers, via broker partners, and through public and private health insurance exchanges.
