CG Environmental, one of the only companies in the US with hands-on experience of Ebola infection containment, has partnered with symplr to offer a new credentialing and training program.
symplr, a software as a Service (SaaS) based healthcare compliance and credentialing solutions provider, has teamed up with CG Environmental to offer the program to healthcare organizations who need to equip staff to work in environments contaminated with Ebola and other Class A infectious diseases.
The program provides online training to educate all staff on what they need to know about Ebola and also prepares staff to work safely in personal protective equipment (PPE).
The new program also reduces legal and compliance risks for facilities by credentialing staff to ensure that they have received and understand the training and signed facility policies.
"We are pleased to be able to partner with symplr to bring our real-world experience of Ebola and infection containment to the healthcare community," said Erick McCallum, owner of CG Environmental. "The combination of our best practices and the symplr credentialing solution provides an unparalleled program for healthcare facilities to ensure their staff are educated and credentialed to work in an Ebola contaminated environment.”
Rick Pleczko, president and chief executive officer of symplr, added: “Ebola entered the US and challenged healthcare facilities to prepare their staff to work safely in an Ebola contaminated environment. It also exposed healthcare organizations to the risk of litigation and significant business interruption.
“Our program is based on practical experience and has been designed to help both staff and facilities remain safe and reduce risk in all areas."
