Clarify Health Solutions, a company that is integrating artificial intelligence (AI) with clinical workflow optimization analytics, has appointed Jack Cochran, MD, former executive director (CEO) of the Permanente Federation, to its board of directors.
Cochran will play a critical role in shaping the company's strategic direction and fueling the continued enhancement of its breakthrough digital care guidance platform.
Dr. Cochran, a renowned physician leader and an advocate for healthcare transformation, spent over 25 years as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon. In addition to his clinical practice, he previously served as executive director (CEO) of the Permanente Federation, the national leadership organization of the regional Permanente Medical Groups, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Quality Forum, the Alliance of Community Health Plans and the American Medical Group Foundation.
A frequent speaker and author, he also serves as a member of the University of California at San Francisco's Global Health Advisory Group.
"America's healthcare crisis is an extremely complex problem, but what's even more concerning is that so many companies are taking a misguided approach to solving it," said Cochran. "The Clarify Health team is not only smart and passionate but they also understand that providing better technology is just one critical piece of the larger puzzle. The challenge is also ensuring the adoption of that new technology within clinical cultures, where resistance to change and skepticism about new technology are prevalent. I couldn't be more pleased to join the Board of Directors at Clarify Health, to drive change and make a meaningful difference across the healthcare ecosystem."
