Clearwater Compliance is set to host new information risk management bootcamp events in Los Angeles and Tampa as part of the company's remaining 2014 educational schedule.
For 2015, live, in-person events are scheduled for Dallas, New Orleans, Denver and Washington.
The bootcamp is geared toward information privacy, security, compliance and risk management professionals who are responsible for ensuring their organizations understand and manage their information security risks appropriately.
The one-day course is designed to equip participants to conduct a bona fide information risk analysis based on the NIST framework and implement a strong, ongoing risk management program.
Numerous professional associations such as IAPP, ISC2, ISSA, AHIMA and AMBA grant Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits for the program.
Building on the success of its HIPAA Compliance BootCamp, Clearwater's latest curriculum focuses on the most pressing issues facing all organizations in their efforts to reasonably and appropriately safeguard all sensitive information including, but not limited to, protected health information, personally identifiable information and company proprietary information.
"In healthcare, risk analysis and risk management will be centerpiece issues during phase 2 of the HITECH-mandated audits in 2014, as well as any investigations conducted by Office for Civil Rights," said Bob Chaput, chief executive officer and founder of Clearwater Compliance. "More importantly, we are here to prepare organizations in all industries handling sensitive information respond effectively to this growing priority."
