Clearwater Compliance is unveiling its new HIPAA-HITECH Risk Management BootCamp in its hometown of Nashville on July 15-16.
Building on the success of its renowned HIPAA Compliance BootCampTM, Clearwater has evolved its curriculum to focus on the most pressing issues facing covered entities and business associates (as defined by OCR) – risk analysis and risk management.
In response to the more than 70,000 HIPAA violation complaints in the last three years, Clearwater Compliance is introducing a series of one-day HIPAA compliance training camps to help healthcare organizations avoid multi-million dollar fines for HIPAA violations by making risk analysis and risk management the cornerstone of their compliance programs.
“We are launching a new, cutting edge curriculum for our HIPAA BootCamp to reflect the intensifying focus on risk analysis and risk management by the Office for Civil Rights,” said Bob Chaput, CEO and founder of Clearwater Compliance.
“Federal agencies are losing patience with healthcare organizations unprepared to meet the newest HIPAA requirements – and the fines and penalties they are imposing grow more severe every day. We want to prepare organizations accordingly.”
The Clearwater HIPAA Risk Management BootCampTM offers in-depth education on the newest HIPAA privacy, security and breach notification rules and requirements.
It aims to give attendees a complete understanding of how regulatory enforcement and penalties are carried out, plus the latest findings from actual OCR audits and investigations.
The specialized curriculum is geared toward leaders, information security and risk management professionals who are responsible for ensuring their organizations understand and manage their information security risks appropriately.
The one-day course is designed to equip participants to conduct a bona fide security risk analysis based on the NIST framework and just as importantly, implement a strong, ongoing risk management program.
