Risk managers will learn how to assess themselves and their risk management programs as part of the Annual Fall Healthcare Conference in Kansas City on September 9, 2015.

The day-long free healthcare conference, co-hosted by Zurich and Lockton, is open to healthcare risk managers, attorneys, patient safety professionals and administrators. A continuing education credit has been approved for attorneys, nurses and risk management professionals.

“Technology is changing how the healthcare industry operates,” said a Lockton spokesperson. “This conference will help you establish whether your business is compliant with current standards.

“Attendees will be able to explore how they measure up as risk managers, and examine whether their risk management plans are comprehensive enough. Business continuity planning will also be covered.”

Other topics will include common claim evaluation missteps, technology’s impact on healthcare, healthcare environmental infection control during construction, and gait belts.
