17-12-2015

St Louis-based Connectria Hosting, provider of HIPAA compliant managed hosting, has achieved the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Healthcare Competency.

The AWS Competency Program is designed to highlight members of the AWS Partner Network who have demonstrated technical proficiency and proven customer success in specialized solution areas.

By attaining an AWS Healthcare Competency, Connectria has demonstrated technical readiness and success in helping healthcare organizations achieve and maintain HIPAA/HITECH compliance on AWS.

Connectria's HIPAA Compliant Managed Services on AWS provides a comprehensive suite of security and support features designed to address HIPAA/HITECH standards, including the setup of an AWS environment to meet HIPAA compliance needs, necessary levels of encryption within AWS and ongoing 24/7 managed services to ensure AWS environments remain HIPAA compliant.

"Connectria is a pioneer in HIPAA/HITECH compliant hosting," said Rich Waidmann, president and chief executive officer.

"We were the first company to deliver HIPAA Compliant Hosting in 2007 as well as one of the first companies to voluntarily sign business associate agreements before it became a requirement.

“With the rapid growth of our managed services on AWS, extending our HIPAA compliant hosting expertise to the AWS Cloud was a natural progression. We are happy to have achieved our AWS Healthcare Competency and look forward to helping organizations with compliance solutions on AWS."
