DaVita Kidney Care hires chief medical officer

DaVita Kidney Care, a division of DaVita, has appointed Francesca Tentori as medical director of Outcomes Research and member of the office of the chief medical officer on DaVita's physician leadership team.

"As the newest member of the office of the chief medical officer, Francesca brings years of experience both in the delivery of high-quality dialysis care and outcomes research in kidney disease," said Allen Nissenson, chief medical officer for DaVita Kidney Care. "Francesca will be a key player in our effort moving toward integrated care and continuing to deliver industry-leading patient-focused outcomes."

Dr. Tentori graduated from the University of Milan and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. She spent ten years as a research scientist at Arbor Research Collaborative for Health, where she worked on the Dialysis Outcomes and Practice Patterns Study and led the development of patient centered research area.

Prior to her time at Arbor Research Collaborative, she acted as assistant medical director for quality management at Dialysis Clinic Inc. Dr. Tentori was a member of the American Society of Nephrology's comparative effectiveness task force, as well as the American Association of Kidney Patients' medical advisory board. Dr. Tentori is currently an Adjunct Instructor in medicine at Vanderbilt University.
