ECRI Institute’s conference explores cancer care delivery

17-09-2015

Changes in cancer care will be the focus of ECRI Institute’s 22nd annual conference on the use of evidence in policy and practice.

The conference, Cancer Care Delivery in a Rapidly Changing Healthcare System, will take place November 17-18 at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

The free public service event will bring together more than 30 of the nation’s leading experts from across the spectrum of health system chief executive officers, public and private payers, researchers, quality experts, patient representatives, regulators, and others are volunteering their time to address critical issues.

Speakers will address issues such as whether the technologies for precision medicine is proving to be more effective than the alternatives; whether some health systems are already ‘patient centered', productively seeking to create services that patients want and feel they need; and whether, from research, regulatory, and clinical perspectives, patients are truly becoming more active participants in creating new knowledge about the way cancer services are provided.
