EHE International, a preventive care and executive health programs provider, together with employee benefits law firm, Groom Law Group, will jointly host a free webinar titled, "Preventive Health Programs: 5 Ways You May Be At Compliance Risk," on June 14 2016.
Groom Law Group partners and experts in employee health benefits, Christine Keller and Brigen Winters, and chief of policy and regulatory affairs for EHE, Roy Ramthun, will guide participants through primary areas of compliance risk for preventive health programs, how to navigate new regulatory rules and requirements, and tips for keeping your company's health benefits compliant.
The webinar will look at much risk a company faces if it is not in compliance, whether a company’s executive health benefits are discriminatory in any way and also which benefits may be exempt from some of the requirement under the law.
"There's a lot of confusion in corporate HR offices when it comes to determining if certain health programs are at compliance risk under the Affordable Care Act and other federal laws," said Ramthun.
"The laws can be complicated and confusing, but ignorance of the law is no excuse. Corporate HR professionals must understand the important issues. This webinar will help those responsible for compliance better understand the requirements and risks."
Winters added: "We're looking to educate HR professionals on what the laws are and how they've been interpreted.
"A lot of people don't even know what questions to ask when it comes to compliance issues and risk, and that can end up being a huge problem. We hope to clarify these issues in our upcoming webinar."
