Healthgrades, a provider of information about physicians, hospital and health care providers, has rated four prospect medical hospitals in Southern California among the top 5 percent in the nation for patient safety.
The hospitals are Southern California Hospital at Culver City, Southern California Hospital at Hollywood, Los Angeles Community Hospital and Los Angeles Community Hospital at Norwalk.
“We are committed to providing quality clinical care in a safe environment and this external recognition reinforces our dedication to our patients’ healthcare,” said Don Kreitz, senior vice president of California Hospitals, Alta Hospitals. “This achievement is significant to the communities we serve in Los Angeles.”
Healthgrades' 2018 “Patient Safety Excellence Award” is a designation that recognizes superior performance of hospitals that have prevented the occurrence of serious, potentially avoidable complications for patients during hospital stays.
The distinction places these Prospect Medical hospitals among the top 5 percent of all acute care hospitals reporting patient safety data for their excellent performance as evaluated by Healthgrades.
