GlobalMed, a company that works in telemedicine delivery solutions, has acquired TreatMD, which is based in Miami, Florida. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
TreatMD is a revolutionary, robust and scalable software platform that when integrated with the existing GlobalMed aggregation and PACS imaging systems, leapfrogs current market expectations for Telemedicine consults.
The acquisition will help augment GlobalMed’s track record of substantial wins over non-profitable competitors who promise successful implementations and fail to deliver, the company said.
“We evaluated many platforms, looked at strategic partnership opportunities, acquisition targets and just building it in-house. TreatMD was the most advanced and unique offering on the market today. TreatMD’s ability to offer a true on-demand ecosystem where choice is put back in the hands of the patient and physician while combining device integration and actual science is where this industry must head,” said Joel Barthelemy, CEO of GlobalMed.
