Submissions are now being accepted to ECRI Institute’s 9th annual Health Devices Achievement Award program.
Each year, ECRI Institute, an independent non-profit that researches the best approaches to improving patient care, recognizes a healthcare organization for achieving excellence in technology management and patient safety.
Previous winners have included Methodist Hospital of Southern California, The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Kaiser Permanente, and Texas Children’s Hospital, and we encourage submissions from a wide range of large and small hospitals and health systems.
“We look forward to receiving our 2014 submissions and learning more about innovative initiatives underway in this country and abroad,” said James Keller, Jr., vice president, health technology evaluation and safety, ECRI Institute.
“The organizations that have submitted applications for our award in the past are clearly making a major impact on improving patient care and patient safety through their technology management initiatives.”
The deadline for submissions for this year’s award is June 2, 2014.
Entries are accepted online at www.ecri.org/hdaward. Initiatives may relate to any health technology management endeavor, including: patient safety, technology selection and service, resource allocation; hazard and recall management; staff training; and accreditation.
The winning organization will be recognized on the ECRI Institute website, through press announcements, and other publicity initiatives.
