Health Partners Plans’ president and chief executive officer (CEO), William George, will serve as chairperson at the Second Annual World Congress Innovations in Wellness and Population Health Management Summit (World Congress) in Boston, later this month.
World Congress provides an educational focus on healthcare conferences and events for senior-level executives from health plans, hospitals and health systems to exchange ideas and explore solutions to industry challenges.
The summit particularly seeks to examine best practices for implementing and sustaining wellness programs.
On July 25, George will start the summit with opening statements and will lead a panel discussion on ‘Implement Incentive Programs to Increase Consumer Engagement in Wellness Initiatives.’
“I’m honored to chair such a highly regarded summit. World Congress is a leader in the industry as it relates to collaboration and sharing innovative ideas and solutions,” said George.
“I look forward to the opportunity to share our best practices and to learn new ways to engage members and improve their health outcomes.”
“The health care industry has shifted toward a focus on prevention and wellness as a way to improve population health,” said Gina Glendening, World Congress executive vice president.
“Through leadership and innovation, George is helping Health Partners Plans successfully manage that transition with the implementation of initiatives that not only increase utilisation of wellness programs but also decrease health care costs.
“I’m thrilled to have someone of his caliber and expertise chairing and presenting at this year’s summit.”
The summit will last for two days from July 25 to 26.
