Healthnostics targets mobile healthcare App market

21-11-2013

Healthnostics has announced its entry into the mobile healthcare App market, which is expected to be worth $400 million by 2016.

It is planning entry into this market by adapting its Hospital Quality Improvement and Risk Management System MedGuardian, a web-based patient care monitoring and risk management system for hospitals, providing automated data collection, reporting analysis for improving clinical treatments and reducing medical errors.

The Company's mHealth App Development initiative is initially focused on adapting MedGuardian for mobile use and development of new customized, purpose built-devices including smart phones, tablets and potentially wearable devices such as smartwatches, health and fitness trackers.

Last year, ABI Research indicated it expects the mHealth App market segment to reach $400 million in revenue by 2016. This emerging trend represents a big growth opportunity for Healthnostics by adapting its current Quality Improvement and Risk Management systems for the mobile healthcare market.
