InnovaCare, a healthcare provider, has boosted the expertise in its leadership team by hiring three executives, two of which have substantial experience working with the government programs Medicare and Medicaid.
Jonathan Meyers is serving as the company’s chief actuary officer. Prior to this role, Meyers held the position of the director of actuarial services, medicare and medicaid for Horizon BCBS.
He was also the chief actuary at HealthCare Partners in New York, a division of heritage medical systems.
Penelope Kokkinides has been appointed as chief administrative officer at the company. Kokkinides has over 20 years of healthcare experience specializing in government programs (Medicare and Medicaid) and the managed care industry.
She has extensive knowledge and expertise in developing clinical programs and managing healthcare processes and operations with a focus on improving efficiencies and organizational infrastructure.
Kokkinides has served in a number of executive roles, including executive vice president and chief operating officer for Centerlight HealthCare, where she was responsible for overall management and strategic direction of the managed care division.
Mike Sortino has been named the chief accounting officer of InnovaCare. He was previously the controller of Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Company. Prior to this, he served as the chief financial officer for over five years for HCC Specialty and has over 20 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industries, as well as more than five years in public accounting.
