The charity March of Dimes will recognize LifePoint Health for giving babies across the country a healthier start to life.
On November 30, LifePoint facilities will be recognized for reducing the number of elective inductions and cesarean deliveries performed before 39 weeks of pregnancy to less than 1 percent of all deliveries.
“We’re so proud of our facilities and the dedication of our physicians and nurses across the country,” said Russell Holman, chief medical officer of LifePoint Health.
“They’ve embraced the need to address the problems associated with early elective deliveries, and have implemented practices and processes aimed at reducing unnecessary inductions. They’ve also taken great care to educate patients on the importance of going full-term. This is yet another powerful way we are making communities healthier.”
