Marsh & McLennan subsidiary appoints global health leader

Mercer, a wholly owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies, has appointed Dr. Lorna Friedman as global health leader for the firm’s Multinational Client Group.

Based in New York, Friedman will develop solutions and sales in the area of health consulting in order to help address strategic health management issues for Mercer’s multinational clients. She will report to Pat Milligan, global leader for Multinational Client Group, Mercer.

Friedman most recently served as the director of health benefits and medical for international healthcare group Bupa Global, responsible for health and network operations for its 2 million customers. Prior to that role, she served as a Partner in Mercer’s Global Health Management practice from 2010-2015. She has also held leadership positions with Emblem Health and CIGNA.
