Navigant has hired James Mapes as a key member of its healthcare practice leadership team and leader of Navigant Cymetrix, a provider of business process and revenue cycle management solutions.

Mapes brings more than 25 years of senior management experience to the leadership role, including more than a decade in healthcare business process operations and technology services. He comes to Navigant from Genpact (formerly GE Capital), where he led the organization’s global healthcare business and served as practice leader for the integrated healthcare and life sciences business.

“We are thrilled to have Jim at the helm of our Navigant Cymetrix team,” said David Zito, managing director and Navigant healthcare segment leader. “As Navigant continues to expand its revenue cycle capabilities, Jim will lead a comprehensive growth strategy that spans Navigant Cymetrix’s full line of end-to-end revenue cycle outsourcing solutions.”

Prior to Genpact, Mapes served as senior vice president for global BPO growth, payment integrity, and operations at Optum, UnitedHealth Group’s health services platform. He also worked in a variety of leadership roles for such Fortune 50 organizations as WellPoint/Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Perot Systems, AIG (American International Group), and Prudential Insurance Company of America.
