Insurer ACE USA has launched new products specifically designed for healthcare industry construction projects through ESIS, a risk management services company owned by the ACE Group.
The new offerings include environmental compliance and transactional services; hazardous materials management; construction and occupational safety; patient safety; industrial hygiene and ergonomics; and business continuity and emergency response.
These capabilities are available for healthcare facility owners, general contractors and construction managers who provide contracting services to the healthcare industry for both new construction and renovation projects.
The addition of these capabilities complements the recently released ACE Contractors Pollution Liability (CPL) Owner-Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) coverage for healthcare construction projects.
"The addition of these new capabilities continues to exemplify ACE's commitment to supplement its robust insurance programs with value-added service offerings to our clients," said William Hazelton, executive vice president and ACE construction industry practice Leader.
“Through our Construction Industry Practice, ACE has the ability to offer a full and comprehensive insurance program that includes not only underwriting expertise, but engineering, risk and claims management services to help manage the wide range of complex risks faced by this industry."
Stephen Craig, vice president and managing director of ESIS Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) added: "An overarching goal for healthcare construction projects is to create and maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients, healthcare employees, and contractors. By working with ESIS, contractors can be sure their plans and processes contemplate the full range of related risks."
He continued: "ESIS brings critical resources to the table. We draw on the experience of an entire team of health, safety, and environmental professionals to help contractors mitigate risks while keeping the project on time and on budget."
