To educate healthcare facilities about critical hospital equipment requirements, ECRI Institute is presenting an educational web conference.
“Clearing the Air on New Hospital Equipment Maintenance Regulations” will air on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, from 1:00 to 2:30 pm ET.
New maintenance requirements were issued by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in December 2013. These changes impact the way hospitals must set the Inspection and Preventive Maintenance (IPM) frequency for their medical equipment.
Hospitals are left wondering how to correctly apply and use the new technical vocabulary while complying with the updates. They must have an understanding of the updates and what actions they’re required to take.
The objectives of this webinar are to help participants understand how to avoid miscommunication during CMS audits; know how to set IPM intervals in compliance with the new regulations; and learn about a leading accrediting organization’s (DNV Healthcare) approach to applying the regulations.
Speakers include Jonathan Gaev, business line manager, BiomedicalBenchmark, ECRI Institute and Randall Snelling, chief physical environment officer, DNV Healthcare.
This webinar is intended for clinical engineering/health technology managers and directors, clinical engineers, biomedical equipment technicians, risk managers, hospital administrators, and facility managers.
